This piece is a Cartier Gondole Verticale Jumbo XL which dates to the early 1970s. The marks ‘Paris’ on the case back and below the 6 o’clock hour marker on the dial show this piece was produced and sold by the Cartier Paris store on Place Vendome. It has a stepped case and is fitted with the iconic sapphire crown. The dial is in great condition with clear type and roman numerals. The 18ct gold case measures 34x39mm and has remained in great condition with some light wear such as hairline marks consistent with its age. There is a small indentation on the case back which isn't clear on the images. Housed behind the snap case back is a manually wound Cartier movement which is running well. It is paired with a black leather Cartier strap which is in a used condition and an 18ct gold buckle.
