The Rolex Datejust is the ‘poster boy’ for Rolex. Globally recognised as one of the most popular watches in the world and certainly one of the most versatile. The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust, since its release in 1945, has seen a multitude of different case materials from stainless steel to platinum, dial variations of every colour under the sun, set in an array of different styles, bezel variations and repeatedly improved mechanics. Whether you like the model or not, there is no denying that a Rolex Datejust is the definition of a ‘timeless watch’.

This particular reference is a 16013, it has an incredibly well kept and strikingly beautiful dark blue gilt ‘boiler gauge’ dial, with all lume plots in place and clear type. The blue dial tints a strikingly bright blue when the light hits it right. The watch is fitted with gold hands, gold deco style numerals, a date window at 3 o’clock with a ‘quickset’ feature and a gold fluted bezel. The distinctive bezel is mounted on the 36mm stainless-steel oyster case which has remained in fantastic condition with some light hairline scratches. The case may have been polished in the past. Paired with a stainless-steel and gold Rolex Jubilee bracelet 62523H with 455 end links. The bracelet is in great condition with little to no slack. Inside is the incredibly clean automatic Rolex cal. 3035 movement, which is running well. The plexi has light hairline scratches.
