OMEGA SPEEDMASTER PROFESSIONAL CHRONOGRAPH 'STEPPED DIAL' MOON WATCH REF. 145022-71 CIRCA 1971
OMEGA SPEEDMASTER PROFESSIONAL CHRONOGRAPH 'STEPPED DIAL' MOON WATCH REF. 145022-71 CIRCA 1971
The Omega Speedmaster is a favourite among many watch collectors. It has earned its place in horological history and has had some beautiful variations in its time. From the MK. II all the way to the Tuetonic, the Speedmaster line has covered a lot of ground. This particular example is a ref. 145.022-71.
The triple register matte black stepped dial has remained in fantastic condition, with clear type and definition of the subsidiary dials. The dial is marked ‘T SWISS MADE T’ under the 6 o’clock hour marker. The dial also showcases pumpkin tone luminous hour markers. There are small white hands on the sub dials and ‘pencil’ hour and minute hands. A black tachymeter bezel is fitted in the 42mm stainless steel case which has twisted lugs, twin pump pushers and an Omega crown. Housed behind the screw down case back, which is marked ‘145022-71’ on the inside, is the manually wound Lemania based cal. 861 movement which is clean and running well. The watch has been paired with a stainless-steel Omega No. 12 bracelet with 47 end links.
