Since its creation by Louis Cartier in 1917, the Cartier Tank has been associated with some of the worlds most renowned figures from Royalty to actors from politicians to sports stars. The Cartier Tank is an iconic piece, steeped in horological history. Its design has certainly stood the test of time taking on a variety of different forms. The piece we have here is the Cartier Tank Francaise, which was released 1996, shortly after the release of the Amercaine in 1989.

This piece is a reference 2366 and has a guilloche dial. The 28mm 18ct white gold case is fitted with after set diamonds. The dial also features a date window at 6 o’clock. The crystal is clear. The case is in a used condition with some hairline marks. Inside is an automatic Cartier movement which is running well. The watch is on a generic leather strap and buckle.
