CARTIER PASHA AUTOMATIC DATE W/ GUARANTEE PAPERS REF. 2324 CIRCA 2014
Due to the rise of quartz and stainless-steel sports watches, Cartier needed a change from the usual oval or rectangular wristwatches they produced in precious metals. In 1985 Cartier released the Cartier Pasha, an answer to the sport models being released around that time. They had enlisted the help of the famous watch designer extraordinaire, Gerald Genta, the man responsible for some of the most popular collections in luxury watches. The brands and the models he has designed include the Patek Philippe Nautilus, Universal Geneve Polerouter, Audermars Piguet Royal Oak and the Omega Constellation, to name a few. The watch features a larger case with an inverted bezel, Vendome lugs and a sapphire set crown guard attached with by a retaining chain.
This piece features a black dial with 3, 6, 9 and 12 arabic numeral hour markers, a date window and large sword hands. The dial is in perfect condition. The 35mm stainless steel case is fitted with its iconic inverted bezel and screw down crown guard. The 35mm case is in good condition with some hairline marks. Housed behind the screw down case back is the multi jewel automatic movement. The movement is running well. The Vendome lugs have been fitted with original stainless steel Cartier bracelet and buckle. The watch comes its guarantee.
