The piece we have here is the Cartier Tank Americaine which was released in 1989, with the Francaise following shortly in 1989. There are a few sizes of the Americaine, yet all with the same stretched form for a perfect fit on the wrist.

The Cartier Tank Americaine ref. 1720 is in good condition. The 23x41mm 18ct gold case is in good condition. The case is fitted with a sapphire set crown. Housed behind the screw down case back is a quartz movement which is clean and running well. The watch is fitted on its leather strap with it original 18ct gold Cartier buckle. This piece comes with its guarantee papers.
