Since its creation by Louis Cartier in 1917, the Cartier Tank has been associated with some of the worlds most renowned figures from Royalty to actors from politicians to sports stars. The Cartier Tank is an iconic piece, steeped in horological history. Its design has certainly stood the test of time taking on a variety of different forms.

The piece we have here is the Cartier Tank Francaise, which was released 1996, shortly after the release of the Amercaine in 1989. It has a slightly chunkier, wider set case and comes on a chain link bracelet. The Cartier Tank Francaise ref. 1820 is in good condition. The dial and crystal are in good condition with no damage or wear. The 18ct yellow gold diamond set case measures 21×25mm and has a diamond set bezel and sapphire set crown. Housed behind the screw down case back is a quartz movement which is running well. This piece comes on a black leather Cartier strap and Cartier steel buckle.
