Since its creation by Louis Cartier in 1917, the Cartier Tank has been associated with some of the worlds most renowned figures from Royalty to actors from politicians to sports stars. The Cartier Tank is an iconic piece, steeped in horological history. Its design has certainly stood the test of time taking on a variety of different forms. The piece we have here is the Cartier Tank Francaise, which was released 1996, shortly after the release of the Amercaine in 1989. The Cartier Tank Francaise ref. 2403 is in used condition with hairline scratches throughout the case. We have opted to leave the watch in its current condition as we believe it to be original although we can have it polished at the buyers request and cost. The dial and crystal are in a good, clean condition with no damage or wear. The 18ct white gold case measures 20mm and has a sapphire set crown. Housed behind the screw down case back is a quartz movement which is running well. This piece also comes with its guarantee papers.
