This piece is a limited edition Audemars Piguet Royal Oak chronograph ref. 25979ST dating from 2003. Produced to commemorate the 3oth anniversary of the City of Sails event which includes the winning teams 2003 emblem as one of the subsidiary dials. It was produced in small numbers, estimated at around 1250 units. The showcases a triple register grey and black waffle dial with white hands and large arabic numerals, a date window bet 4 and 5 o’clock and is marked ‘SWISS MADE’ under the 6 o’clock hour markers. The iconic bezel is mounted on the 42mm stainless steel case which has twin pushers and a screw down crown. Housed behind the screw down case back which bares the City of Sails portrait, is an AP automatic movement which is running well. The case is in good condition with some light marks through out which can be polished out upon request. The watch comes on its rubber AP Royal Oak strap with its AP deployment clasp. The strap is showing signs of wear and would benefit from a new strap. We have kept the strap on to keep this piece in its original condition.
